According to UAE law, you can rent a car if you are 21 years of age or older.
For residents, a UAE driver's license is mandatory, for tourists, an international driver's license is mandatory. Exception: tourists from the Gulf countries, the USA, Great Britain, Canada, and Europe can rent a car with their national license. The minimum driving experience is 6 months.
