The driver must hold a credit/debit card in his own name and acquire adequate funds. MasterCard and Visa are accepted cards. Our company will not accept prepaid, recharge, or virtual credit cards.
Documents Requirements
- PASSPORT: A passport is required. Also, the minimum age limit for renting a car in UAE is 21.
- DRIVING LICENSE: On pickup, all primary and additional drivers are required to provide a Driving License held for a minimum of 6 months. UAE Residents and Nationals require a valid UAE license. GCC Nationals (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia) require a valid GCC license. All other customers require an International Driving Permit and their national license.
Deposit
If the Lessee does not have a Credit Card, a minimum security deposit of AED 1,000 will be required when picking up the car.
The deposit will be retained by RentDrive.ae for 30 calendar days starting from the check-in date to cover any fines and extra costs that may arise.
Insurance
Insurance Information: Our rental prices include: a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Comprehensive Insurance and Theft Protection (TP).
If the vehicle is involved in an accident, the Lessee must:
- Place warning triangles to warn oncoming traffic.
- Contact the Lessor to report the location, time, and details of the accident.
- Call the police at 999, regardless of the accident’s severity.
- Request and obtain a copy of the police report.
Traffic fines
Customers are responsible for all fines accrued during the vehicle rental period and must pay them promptly. An administrative fee of 10% of the fine amount and AED 20 will apply to each UAE fine incurred. For each traffic fine that incurs black points, a charge of AED 500 will be assessed per black point. For each Salik, the Customer will be charged AED 5.
Allowed Mileage Limits
The standard daily mileage limit is set at 250 kilometers, with a monthly limit of 5,000 kilometers. Any additional kilometers beyond these limits will incur charges as specified in the customer’s signed agreement.
Fuel Policy
The Customer must return the vehicle with the same fuel capacity it had at pickup. Failure to do so will incur a service fee of AED 50, along with a full charge for missing fuel.
RESTRICTED ACTIVITIES:
- Driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
- Pushing, pulling, or towing objects.
- Racing, off-road driving, desert safaris, and drifting.
- Sublet the vehicle to anyone else.
- Use car during floods and natural disasters.
- Transportation of animals.
Extra Services You Can Avail:
- One-Way Rentals: If you plan to collect the car from one location and return it to another, the car rental company will impose a one-way fee to return the car to the starting point. Advance notice is necessary for all one-way rentals.
- Outside Office Hours: If you want to pick up or drop off the car while the office is closed, you must contact our company 24 hours in advance. There will be a charge for this service, and the price will be communicated to you upon your request.
- Deliveries and Collections: The car rental company will deliver the car at the start of the rental for reservations over AED 1,000 at no cost. If the reservation is under that, a fee of AED 50 will apply. A collection service requires prior notice.
- Extra Equipment: You can request additional equipment during your rental period, such as baby seats, GPS navigators, roof boxes, etc. If you choose any additional equipment, you will incur extra costs. In certain instances, the car rental company may require a deposit to guarantee the additional equipment.
Cancellations & Amendments
The money will be refunded if you cancel 48 hours or more prior to your rental period starting at less than the price of a 3-day rental. If you reserved the car for fewer than 3 days, there will be no extra charge, but you won’t get any refund. If the car is returned before the end of the rental period, the rental cost will not be refunded.
Our legal domicile is the United Arab Emirates and all the governing laws that apply are the law of UAE alone.
